This paper deals with the formulation of a one-dimensional mechanical model for studying the statical behaviour of a RC beam strengthened with FibreReinforced Polymers (FRP) plates. Some numerical results obtained via finite element method (FEM) are also given and show the efficiency of the proposed model in evaluating the stresses distributions at the interface between the concrete core and the composite laminate.

Abstract
