The paper is concerned with the problems of the linear theory of elastic porous materials according to Cowin-Nunziato model. A finite element method is proposed for finding numerical solutions of static problems for media with voids. Three-dimensional, plane (plane stress and plane strain) and axisymmetric problems are considered. Three two-dimensional problems are considered as numerical examples: the stretching of the plate with circular hole, the uniaxial tension of rectangle with line crack and the tension of axisymmetric glass. Increasing of coefficient of stress concentration, compliance of structure for models of elastic media with voids and change in porosity compared with ordinary models are marked for all examples.
