Luigi Sturzo ed Emmanuel Mounier

Linee di convergenza e di divergenza tra il pensiero di Sturzo e quello del personalismo francese. Though a lot has been done in terms of research and study about the relationship Sturzo-Maritain, as well as Maritain-Mounier, there is no work about the relationship Sturzo-Mounier. Indeed they represent two important attempts of "politica personalistica" aiming to determine the ethics of the "comunità politica dello Stato", where the person is the purpose of the society and not the contrary. The State is not, indeed, the goal of mankind’s practice, but only the means in the name of man’s utility. Sturzo’s name is definitely close to Maritain, Mounier and other european exponents of personalism but, perhaps, from some views, he goes beyond his times for the clear political analysis and rational denouncing of the dangers mining the peace and the human civilization, for the deep and strict political, theological and moral commitment.
