Several theoretical models are currently available in the scientific literature for evaluating shear capacity of beam-to-column joints in RC structures. The present paper deals with assessing those models by means of a systematic comparison between the theoretical prediction obtained by applying those models and a wide series of experimental results collected in a database assembled by the authors. Such a comparison is a first step of a wider investigation aimed at calibrating accurate analytical models and providing structural engineers with reliable design formulae for beam-to-column capacity in RC joints.

Abstract
Several theoretical models are currently available in the scientific literature for evaluating shear capacity of beam-to-column joints in RC structures. The present paper deals with assessing those models by means of a systematic comparison between the theoretical prediction obtained by applying those models and a wide series of experimental results collected in a database assembled by the authors. Such a comparison is a first step of a wider investigation aimed at calibrating accurate analytical models and providing structural engineers with reliable design formulae for beam-to-column capacity in RC joints.File in questo prodotto:
