The first results of a research aimed at developing equivalent electric circuits for the simulation of the behavior over a broad range of frequency of nanocomposites based on epoxy resins loaded with different percentages of MWCNTs are presented. Simple series and parallel RC cells are considered to simulate the behavior over a range of MWCNT concentrations encompassing the percolation threshold of the nanocomposite system. The RC electric circuits are constructed by employing a simple multi-step procedure in which the values of the parameters are adjusted until a suitable criterion based on the comparison of simulated and experimental frequency spectra is satisfied. It is found that a few cells are enough to obtain a satisfactory agreement between experimental results and numerical simulations.
