The present paper, synthesis of a wider research on the Amalfi Coast architecture, is addressed to some its recurring elements, the stone doorways, which - sometimes as typical and recurring forms, in other cases as absolutely unique elements - embellish the whole investigated area. Even if apparently simple, and related to generally considered as minor episodes, this research - largely based on graphic analysis and drawing of these elements - has greatly contributed to an awareness of the spatial experience by a community often unaware of the rich architectural heritage with which coexists.
