The purpose of the paper is to investigate citizens’ influence on public service creation and delivery, and the role that the Web 2.0 technologies play in civic engagement (Putnam, 2000; Adler and Goggin, 2005; Hays, 2007; Cegarra-Navarro et al., 2012). In our information age, the spread of emerging form of civic collaboration and engagement have influenced the rise of “we-government” paradigm (Linders, 2012), which is based on the conversational and cooperative potential of social media. The study has been based on the analysis of a specific example of we-government initiative, developed in the British context, in order to better understand the real citizens’ involvement in civic, political, and institutional issues.
