The Don Bosco’s educational system – a solidified, original and eternal construction which derives from a deep sense of the Gospel – would not be comprehensible without its religious aspect. The religious thought, indeed, dominates his entire existence and affects his educational activity like a determinant moment in the formation of young people. Starting from this preliminary consideration, the paper will try to demonstrate how the religious of Don Bosco can be interpreted like construction of one of contemporary pedagogical theorizations. Along this heuristic direction, the religious of Don Bosco can be interpreted as a sort of “pre-text” – both in its literary acceptation and in its metaphorical acceptation – to reflect on recognition and valorisation of the religious dimension of child. This dimension has been obscured for a long time by other dimensions, from the multimedia one to the digital and virtual one, till to the properly literate one on level of competence in different disciplinary languages.
