L’attività delle organizzazioni di volontariato in provincia di Salerno: reinterpretazione in chiave geografica della banca-dati e dei primi risultati emersi nelle ricerche del C.S.V. Sodalis

Through a presentation of the “third sector” in Italy and of the “voluntary” as a concept read in its historical antecedents from a cultural-stratigraphic point of view, this paper, in a geographical-comparative key, has offered processing and interpretation of the initial results from studies sponsored by the C.S.V. Sodalis about the voluntary organizations of the Salerno’s territory. Therefore it wanted to reflect problematically, with the use of G.I.S., about the main elements that characterize the operational features of voluntary organizations in Salerno. In particular, this paper will identify any possible relationship between socio-economic and cultural-historical conditions of some provincial areas and their inclination towards the development of a specific voluntary category (social, health care, environmental and cultural). As a second goal, this paper will try to value the impact on territory of these activities.
