An efficient technique for filtering the errors affecting the NF data in the NF-FF transformation with plane-polar scanning is developed in this work. It is based on the nonredundant NF-FF transformation recently developed by some of the authors and takes advantage of data redundancy to lower the errors affecting the NF data. In particular, an increased number of voltage data is acquired on each ring and the SVD algorithm is used to recover the nonredundant NF samples from the redundant ones. Some numerical tests assessing the effectiveness of the technique are reported.
