In the past years, a variety of materials have been used to avoid the abdominal adhesions (pathological fibrotic bands) which develop between surfaces in the peritoneal cavity . The research group of Bolgen et al. used a PCL electrospun membrane loaded with a commercial antibiotic (Bioteral®) to reduce the abdominal adhesion formation. In this paper we have formulated and characterized biomedical devices with a 3D mesh sample structure for reducing local inflammation and improve the tissue regeneration. These biomedical devices were obtained using the electrospinning technique. Cellular culture tests were realized using 3T3 fibroblast mice cells, to verify the non- toxicity of the samples loaded with the clay and cells interaction with the shape of the devices. Finally fluorescent analysis was realized to evaluate cell distribution on the samples and the nanostructure of the devices, respectively.
