The results of a study concerning the dependence of the neuron signal duration on stress and environmental conditions are presented. A 2D Finite Element model, coupling the Hodgkin Huxley and the Maxwell equations in Electro Quasi-Static form, is employed to effectively describe the neuron membrane active behaviour. The sensitivity of the model to some input controllable parameters in terms of the duration of the Action Potential is analysed.

Abstract
The results of a study concerning the dependence of the neuron signal duration on stress and environmental conditions are presented. A 2D Finite Element model, coupling the Hodgkin Huxley and the Maxwell equations in Electro Quasi-Static form, is employed to effectively describe the neuron membrane active behaviour. The sensitivity of the model to some input controllable parameters in terms of the duration of the Action Potential is analysed.File in questo prodotto:
