Tourism sector is interested by strong changes in terms of tourism demand, tourists’ traits and tourism best practices1. Nowadays tourism enterprises are in competition between each other, trying to attract the growing perspectives their sector is showing in terms of incomes, tourism flows, foreign investments, etc. But global competition, as well as global tourism product’s emerging role tends to create difficult loops in value creation processes for tourism operators. Is in this mainframe that tourism firms have to look for different strategies concentrating not only upon the reinforcement of quality instances, but also pursuing sustainable tourism policies. How quality issues cope with sustainable tourism? Scope of the paper is to demonstrate that sustainable development in tourist sector, dealing with social equity, economic efficiency and ecological integrity, looks for the satisfaction of a wide range of interested parties that seems to include all relevant parties identifiable with a quality perspective and approach, therefore showing the compatibility of the two approaches.
