The collaborative e-learning in based on the enhacencement of the continuous sharing in education and training within a group of students and occurs when there is a real interdipendence among group members. The concept of collaborative learning is closely associated with the term "community". A design education based on collaborative e-learning offers many benefits in cognitive and emotional levels, thus effecting in a positive manner the process of re-socialization of prisoners. Tis paper wants to emphasize: the importance of the relationship between collaborative e-learning method and ethnographic studies on learning in prison, the importance of not abandoning the possibilities given by the ethnographic approach to the social researcher who wants to deal with exploring the complex situasions in places that are difficult to reach, such as prison.

Abstract
