Abstract
The paper is a summary of a multidisciplinary research activities developed at the Civil Engineering Department, University of Salerno, to support the hydraulic and structural efficiency tests of maritime breakwaters, emerged or submerged. Following an innovative approach, by digital photogrammetry, remote sensing and the CAD/CAM techniques, was developed a numerical procedure to reproduce a physical scale model or prototype breakwaters in a three-dimensional virtual geometry. Thus, using a specific numerical software (Computation Fluid Dynamics) will be possible evaluate the hydrodynamic wave-structures interaction and the stability of the armour layer elements.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
