In this work we synthesized a co-polymer of the polyether family (POC) and employed it as active layer in organic light emitting devices (OLEDs). POC is a blue-emitting polymer constituted of carbazole and oxadiazole groups that are hole and electron transporter, respectively. Such a peculiarity helps in simplifying the device architecture and its realization. We prepared double and single layer OLED structures depending on whether PEDOT:PSS is included or not between POC and the ITO/glass substrate. A great improvement of the device characteristics was observed in presence of PEDOT:PSS layer. Moreover the electroluminescence spectrum changes as well showing blue light emission in the single layer device (CIE: 0.44, 0.41). Instead, white electroluminescence was observed in the double layer structure (CIE: 0.33, 0.36). We compared these results with the performances of the same double layer OLED structure obtained by inkjet printing POC.
