ITALIANO Secondo Robert Vischer, padre fondatore delle teorie dell’empatia, e Rudolf Arnheim, padre della Gestaltpsychologie e duro critico dell’Einfhulung, il movimento esercita la più grande attrazione sullo spettatore. Dotato di Reiz, o Appeal, un corpo reale in movimento, o un’immagine del movimento, attiva una potente empatia dinamica, che coinvolge virtualmente il corpo, la motricità e la tattilità dello spettatore a distanza. Come nell’illusione di Aristotele – fonte di una serie di opere di Max Ernst -, la mano fa quello che l’occhio vede, imita e afferra quello che l’occhio vede da lontano: è come se lo facesse. E’ quanto succede in maniera esemplare una sequenza di una puntata di Mad Men, serie televisiva di massa, che consente di misurare l’empatia all’opera non solo nel mondo dell’arte, ma nella cultura visuale in generale e nel mondo della vita ordinaria. L’esperienza empatica finzionale permette poi di verificare il ritmo strutturale tra attività e passività, tra proiezione e incorporazione, e di risalire al modello morfologico sottostante a tale oscillazione, e, finalmente, la natura composita e temporale di ogni immagine in movimento. According to Robert Vischer, the founding of the theories of empathy, and Rudolf Arnheim, the father of Gestalt-Psycholgy and hard critic of the Einfhulung, movement exercises the biggest attraction on the viewer. Featuring Reiz, or Appeal, a real body in motion, or an image of an movement (inanimate too), actives a powerful and dynamic empathy, involving virtually the body, motor-skills and even the tactility of the spectator in distance. As in the Aristotle’s illusion - a source of a number of works by Max Ernst -, the hand does what the eye sees, she imitates and she grabs what the eye contemplates from afar: it is as if the hand actually did it.. That’s what happens in an exemplary sequence of an episode of Mad Men, the television series of entertainment, which allows you to measure empathy at work not only in the art-world, but in the visual culture in general and in the world of ordinary life too. The fictional empathic experience allows us to check the structural rhythm between activity and passivity, between projection and incorporation, and to go back to the morphological model underlying that swinging oscillation, and, finally, to the composite and relating to time nature of each moving image.
