In this paper the authors suggest a procedure for the seismic design of buckling restrained braced frames , with the intent to provide a design tool. In fact, in Eurocode, there are no provisions regarding this structural typology. The proposed procedure is compared with the design method according to Starseismic Europe®, which incorporates the rules contained at internal EC8 with reference to traditional braces and "extends" them to BRB . For both procedures, with reference to a case study, analyses are conducted in non-linear range to investigate the performance of the designed structures.

Abstract
