On the Triana’s Guadalquivir river shore, opposite of Seville, the remains of St. Jorge Castle, former almohade castle of Gabir, lie underneath the Triana’s Market which was built just above. To enhance the value of these remains, and to advance in the knowledge of the cultural heritage, this research intends to produce, through the newest technologies, a virtual reconstruction of the building. It is also tried to analyze its urban environment and produce digital documentation that not only could shed light to the knowledge of the historical architecture of Seville, but also would serve as an instrument of dissemination of the heritage and support for the tourism of the city. Firstly the almohade remains of the castle will be surveyed through the necessary operations of measure and analysis to understand and keep record of them in its whole configuration, by using laser scanner and photogrammetry. This complete survey will allow building a digital model that will support the different hypothesis of the virtual reconstruction. Once decided the most probable solution, based on a deep historical research, a wide range of graphic and digital documentation will be generated, such as virtual visit to the castle and plans of the city and the castle at different important dates of its history.

Abstract
Once decided the most probable solution, based on a deep historical research, a wide range of graphic and digital documentation will be generated, such as virtual visit to the castle and plans of the city and the castle at different important dates of its history.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
