Metric Attitude is a visualization approach implemented in an environment that provides a mental picture by viewing an object-oriented software by means of polymetric views of classes (i.e., fine-grained). In this paper, we present an extension of MetricAttitude which visualizes a software by levels considering not only its class view but also its package views in terms of nested packages (i.e., coarse-grained). Packages are represented by using visual properties associated to Martin's metrics [15]. The new approach and its supporting visualization environment also allow showing relationships among packages.

Abstract
Metric Attitude is a visualization approach implemented in an environment that provides a mental picture by viewing an object-oriented software by means of polymetric views of classes (i.e., fine-grained). In this paper, we present an extension of MetricAttitude which visualizes a software by levels considering not only its class view but also its package views in terms of nested packages (i.e., coarse-grained). Packages are represented by using visual properties associated to Martin's metrics [15]. The new approach and its supporting visualization environment also allow showing relationships among packages.File in questo prodotto:
