This chapter aims to discuss the healthcare process within an idiographic perspective. The standardization of some procedures which are supposed to be suitable for any kind of patient, provides universal guidelines (nomothetic like type) for the professional work of doctors and nurses, regulating not only their conduct as members of the health staff, but also both the interaction with the patient and the patients’ conduct in itself. These general procedures suggest also the expected way in which a patient has to react to his/her diseases and, by being objectified according to normative standards, seem to act as a bumper for the professionals against the emotional implication of the present condition of illness. These rules keep all of these actors within the borders of a well known experience.
