:“From orality to writing: the experience of workshops dealing with narrating the unspeakable”, analyzes collective works produced in workshops on memory, gender and writing. In such workshops, former female political prisoners from Uruguay gathered to combat together the silence surrounding their experiences of militancy and imprisonment during the last Uruguayan military ditactatorship. It's possible identifie different levels of the testimonial act in these discourses, from orality to strictly referential testimonies up to literary elaborations that appeal to resources of fictional writing, in an attempt to narrate their unspeakable experiences.

:“From orality to writing: the experience of workshops dealing with narrating the unspeakable”, analyzes collective works produced in workshops on memory, gender and writing. In such workshops, former female political prisoners from Uruguay gathered to combat together the silence surrounding their experiences of militancy and imprisonment during the last Uruguayan military ditactatorship.
