The evaluation of learning is linked to the development of tests able to provide valid and reliable information. The building of the tests, the management and the subsequent measurement of their outcomes made the players involved for long periods of time and this is the foundation the research started from. Its main aim, in fact, is experimenting forms of learning assessment supported by automatic processes for the generation of tests. The system has been tested at the University of Salerno and the first results are encouraging. In perspective, this research may be the premise for the development of a useful and effective application able to support the assessment processes.
