Due to the low conductivity no Joule heating has to be considered.

Abstract

Good temperature sensing properties from room temperature up to 100 °C have been obtained, with high density polyethylene/carbon nanotube composites even for nanotube concentrations slightly above the percolation threshold in the case that oxidized multi-walled carbon nanotubes have been used.
