This paper presents an interactive Maximum Power Point Tracking-Constant Power Load (MPPT-CPL) digital control technique for DC-DC converters driving LED arrays in photocatalytic wastewater treatment systems. Applications of interest are water purification plants in absence of grid utility, where energy is generated by a photovoltaic source. Thanks to this control technique, a single-stage power converter can drive an LED array with a modulated dimmed current, to maximize the speed of the water purification while extracting the maximum power from the photovoltaic source. The proposed MPPT-CPL control technique has been implemented and tested by means of an experimental prototype based on SEPIC topology.

Abstract
This paper presents an interactive Maximum Power Point Tracking-Constant Power Load (MPPT-CPL) digital control technique for DC-DC converters driving LED arrays in photocatalytic wastewater treatment systems. Applications of interest are water purification plants in absence of grid utility, where energy is generated by a photovoltaic source. Thanks to this control technique, a single-stage power converter can drive an LED array with a modulated dimmed current, to maximize the speed of the water purification while extracting the maximum power from the photovoltaic source. The proposed MPPT-CPL control technique has been implemented and tested by means of an experimental prototype based on SEPIC topology.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
