Abstract
The streets and squares have always represented the natural space of protest, but they are also a public place and a space for social rela-tions, where contradictions and social conflicts are made visible and explicit. In the analysis of modern culture Simmel represents the fo-cal point of sociology and social conflict in the encounter/clash be-tween conformism and individualism, unity and differentiation. In this sense, fashion is a way through which the two contradictory de-sires are negotiated. Dresscode, therefore, is an expression of social changes in cultural and political contexts and makes its membership recognizable through its manifestation in public and private spaces.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
