The aim of this contribution is to analyze the issue of gender equality in Italy in light of the initiatives undertaken in recent decades. The efforts made see in corporate welfare devices a fundamental element for the affirmation of an innovative model of management of human resources, culture and business processes, with a view to equal opportunities. In fact, although we are aware of the need for work life balance policies to go beyond the narrow riverbed of the female universe, we cannot overlook the powerful contribution that I can offer to solve the gender gap. Organizations that employ flexible organizational solutions, implementing methods of exchange between the professional and private spheres, express forms of synergistic collaboration between man/woman workers and entrepreneurial needs. Therefore, a space of co-empowerment and strengthening of the individual-organization relationship develops, which can only positively influence the enhancement of human resources: an increasingly strategic asset and one of the main sources of competitive advantage.
