The present work investigates the contribution of international organizations to the affirmation and promotion of shared values and principles or global values. It intends to stress that the emergence of global values have affected the structure and sources of the international legal system, as well as the same international organizations, thanks to the interplay between multiple levels of regulatory production and governance. In this perspective, the work argues that measures adopted by international organizations to face the current health emergency caused by the coronavirus outbreak are the test to evaluate the coming to light of further global values.

Abstract

The present work investigates the contribution of international organizations to the affirmation and promotion of shared values and principles or global values. It intends to stress that the emergence of global values have affected the structure and sources of the international legal system, as well as the same international organizations, thanks to the interplay between multiple levels of regulatory production and governance. In this perspective, the work argues that measures adopted by international organizations to face the current health emergency caused by the coronavirus outbreak are the test to evaluate the coming to light of further global values.
