This book emerges from an International Seminar held at the Department of Sociology, Kerala University in November, 2017 titled: Gender at the intersection of identity and community: Viewing the landscape of culture in a Changing World. During the three day deliberations, several important issues related to identity and culture were discussed taking an interdisciplinary approach. The participants came from different disciplines including Sociology, Cultural Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Anthropology and other Social Sciences. The primary purpose of the seminar was to set in place a dialogue about the place of culture in human interactions from a multi-disciplinary perspective. The themes covered were:
