In order to examine and evaluate the effects of HILP (High Impact Low Probability) phenomena on a trasmission grid with the aim of improving the system resilience, a model based on a probabilistic approach was implemented and an algorithm was developed. The algorithm aims to carry out evaluations of parameters such as energy not supplied by generators, energy not absorbed by loads or outages duration, simulating the behaviour of a network portion with the occurrance of HILP phenomena. These evaluations are useful for planning optimized intervention strategies. The algorithm was implemented in Matlab and was then applied to a case study.

Abstract
In order to examine and evaluate the effects of HILP (High Impact Low Probability) phenomena on a trasmission grid with the aim of improving the system resilience, a model based on a probabilistic approach was implemented and an algorithm was developed. The algorithm aims to carry out evaluations of parameters such as energy not supplied by generators, energy not absorbed by loads or outages duration, simulating the behaviour of a network portion with the occurrance of HILP phenomena. These evaluations are useful for planning optimized intervention strategies. The algorithm was implemented in Matlab and was then applied to a case study.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
