In this paper, we want to show how the evolution of Artificial Intelligence must lead to change the point of view of the design of interactive systems based on it. It is necessary to re-think the decision-making paradigm where a user makes a decision with the support of the electronic system or where an Artificial Intelligence makes a decision autonomously. The new paradigm must consider that both the user and the Artificial Intelligence are two entities capable of making decisions and for which the decision-making process may be even a mediation between the human and artificial intelligence, taking into account that one can progressively mutually learn from the other. For this reason, in this work, we explain through a Decision Perception Model how to adapt the Human-Centred Design process to meet the requirements and necessities of Artificial Intelligence giving it the same importance as the user within the design.

Abstract
In this paper, we want to show how the evolution of Artificial Intelligence must lead to change the point of view of the design of interactive systems based on it. It is necessary to re-think the decision-making paradigm where a user makes a decision with the support of the electronic system or where an Artificial Intelligence makes a decision autonomously. The new paradigm must consider that both the user and the Artificial Intelligence are two entities capable of making decisions and for which the decision-making process may be even a mediation between the human and artificial intelligence, taking into account that one can progressively mutually learn from the other. For this reason, in this work, we explain through a Decision Perception Model how to adapt the Human-Centred Design process to meet the requirements and necessities of Artificial Intelligence giving it the same importance as the user within the design.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
