The purpose of this chapter is to give an outline and interpretation of the experimental findings for the in vivo and in laboratory experiments about frictional behavior of human skin. Along these paragraphs, the scientific literature framework will be illustrated and the different factors affecting human skin's friction behavior will be explored considering the theoretical aspects which were summarized and discussed connected to the friction mechanisms, with an emphasis on the analysis of the adhesion and deformation component in different skin conditions. Moreover, in the chapter were highlighted some technical concepts considering different techniques and measurement parameters used to investigate the friction of human skin in in different human body parts and in different contact conditions.
