Abstract
The importance of quality of life as a factor of attractiveness is increasingly recognised by national and local governments, many of whom have also begun to develop tools for integrating people’s well-being into their strategic objectives and development agenda, policy analysis and budgetary processes. In a period of ecological transition, it is expected that attention to the environmental dimension of the quality of life will be increasingly high especially on the population side. Moreover, this suggests that a nation that is able to proceed quickly with ecological conversion is more likely to be competitive and contribute to the sustainable development of the Planet. Every year, the Netherlands attracts residents, including an increasing number of Italian citizens, because of the high quality of life they record. Since an increase in population, while on the one hand it may lead to development, may also cause a deterioration in the quality of life, as well as an environmental degradation, it is necessary to monitor the dynamics of size and, in particular, of the environment, identifying appropriate policies and forecasting their impacts.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
