The paper focuses on the street art practices undertaken in recent years “in the name of the environment”, unconventional practices that tell of the damage caused by human beings in the Anthropocene era. The aim is to understand to what extent these popular forms of expression can prove to be an effective communication medium capable of conveying the values of ecology, educating to sustainability, generating new narratives and new imaginaries.
