The paper presents two letters of two Italian diplomats sent from Warsaw (April 1695). They informed the Doge of Venice and the Cardinal Secretary of State about the first Azov campaign. The documents have been translated from Italian into Ukrainian. The texts were written in the language of the end of the XVII century which differs to a certain extent, especially in certain syntactic formulations and lexical choice, from contemporary standard Italian

Abstract
