Abstract

The paper investigates, through a specific case study referred to Rione Sanità in Naples, the role that street art practices can play in marginal and complex urban areas as identity markers and territorial enhancement tools. The general intent is to understand whether these forms of expression, popular and non-elitist, are able to generate new narratives and new urban imaginaries, promoting processes of reterritorialization of public space in degraded urban contexts.
