The essay analyses the construction history of the suburban Baths of Pompeii from the first structure to their rediscovery in the second half of the twentieth century. It focusses on the state of current conservation of the structures, of the walled elevations and the decorative features, as well as on the proposed interventions, within the scope of the research for the restoration and amelioration of fruition of the archaeological ruins of Pompeii, thus extending accessibility to a broad range of users.
