The research delves into Roccagloriosa, a strategic enclave and exemplary medieval town according to UNESCO, nestled within the Parco Nazionale del Cilento, Vallo di Diano Alburni. A focal point is the medie- val castle’s remnants within the municipality. Despite its Longobard origins, the castle has undergone significant transformations over time. Situated atop the highest mountain, it offers panoramic views of the sea, valleys, and the Bussento and Mingardo rivers, playing a crucial role as a reference point and in our visual perception of the surroundings. This study begins with a survey of the medieval remnants, employing advanced digital technologies such as range-based and image-based survey techniques. This survey serves as the foundation for assessing the present condition, culminating in the formulation of an architectural project for an interpretation centre. This multifaceted process serves a dual purpose: to valorize a quintessential aspect of Cilentan heritage and to advance into innovative methodologies for historical heritage preservation. The work endeavours not only to deepen our comprehension of the past but also to propose practical and sustainable solutions for the conservation and contemporary utilization of these significant historical vestiges.

Abstract
The work endeavours not only to deepen our comprehension of the past but also to propose practical and sustainable solutions for the conservation and contemporary utilization of these significant historical vestiges.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
