Abstract
This article suggests that affection, as a specific feel- ing around which social relations are built, is yet to be systematized within the disciplinary field of the sociology of emotions. Scholarship in this field tends to treat affection as a general subjective experience in which the distinction between emotions and feelings is blurred too. Such a state of the art might be symptomatic of a more general devaluation of affection, as a social structuring force, in contemporary liquid society imbued with individual emancipation and global mobility.File in questo prodotto:
