La direttiva 2024/1385 sulla lotta alla violenza contro le donne e alla violenza domestica come principale realizzazione di “un’Europa garante della parità di genere”

“A Union of Equality” is the goal outlined by the Gender Equality Strategy, which is concluding, through which the European Commission has defined the political objectives and key actions for the period 2020-2025. The paper focuses on the achievement of the first and most significant objective set in such Strategy, namely combating gender-based violence, which led to the adoption on May 14, 2024, of Directive 2024/1385 aimed at establishing common minimum standards for preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence throughout the European Union.
