This thesis, «Una línea de tierra nos separa»: estetica e letteratura azul nella guerra civile spagnola, explores the relationship between Spanish fascist aesthetics and literature before and during the Civil War. The word azul is preferred to the term nacional, for its more neutral reference. In the first part, a corpus of representative verse and prose texts are analyzed in its forms and contents. An effort has been made to investigate original documents, focusing on significant themes and tòpoi. The second part shows the results of an archive investigation about Spanish fascist periodicals and, above all, literary magazines, in which modern literature and the arts like cinema and drawings are connected to political discourse, economic matters and advertising policies. In order to reconstruct and contextualize the meaning and significance of the review Horizonte, forgotten and never analyzed before, an interdisciplinary study and a detailed and complete catalogue have been written, showing interesting and unexpected results and offering new ways of research. Abstract
