The Chapter examines a number of issues related to this procedure, including the objectives of Art. 40(4) DSA; the socio-political dynamics that led to the adoption of this provision, the structure and scope of its application, the methods for resolving disputes regarding access to data by researchers, the relationship between Art. 40 DSA and the 2022 EU Code of Conduct on Disinformation and the GDPR, and the future perspectives of the procedure in question.
