The present work is a theoretical investigation on the ontology and political and legal conceptuality of Ernesto Laclau's work, through a comparison with the modern tradition. More specifically, Laclau's work is read inside a decisionist line, albeit moderate and filtered by French post-structuralism and other traditions that are his most direct references. In this sense, we also aim to reveal a theological-political structure in the political ontology of Laclau, using as a gateway to the relationship between the Argentine political theorist's post-foundationalism and the decisionist tradition, the work of Carl Schmitt, an author with which we believe there are significant points of contact. The thesis is divided in two sections, a first on political ontology and the second on political-legal conceptuality. The first consists of two chapters, one dedicated to the problem of the absent foundation, and the second to the relationship between the critics of the idea of objectivity and the problem of the antagonism, in structuring the concept of the Political as the primary ground of ontology. The second, on the other hand, is composed of three chapters, where three fundamental concepts of the modern political and juridical tradition, those of Representation, People and Decision, are analyzed in dialogue with Laclau's more direct and close theoretical references, such as Derrida, Lefort, Rancière as well as with authors from the decisionist tradition, such as Hobbes and Schmitt. Finally, in the conclusions we will try to retrace the topic of political theology, to show the emerging nodes of this paradigm in Laclau's theory of the Political and populism.

Abstract
Finally, in the conclusions we will try to retrace the topic of political theology, to show the emerging nodes of this paradigm in Laclau's theory of the Political and populism.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
