It exposes profound spatial asymmetries between coastal overtourism and undertourism in inland areas, which require distinct policies. Tourism is undoubtedly a political phenomenon: it reshapes landscapes, power relations, and rights. And in the age of artificial intelligence, we need a form of territorial intelligence that restores meaning to travel, making tourism a laboratory of sustainability, identity, and authentic relationships between communities and visitors.
