Externalization of Imagination: Where We Begin to Create Our Own Representations of Artwork

Throughout human life, the continuous presence of instability acts as a catalyst for change and development. The changes concern individuals and their environments, wherefore awareness becomes crucial for understanding of meaningful moments and experiences, especially in relation to artwork. The interest dwells upon the questions “Why do our lives appear to be so rich in meaningful moments and experiences?” and “How can we express ourselves in a constantly changing world?” Responses are found by temporarily externalizing reality within the dynamic notion between inner mental processes and the surrounding. Then, it is possible to uncover the persistence of dynamics of individuals within a rather complex world. Artistic phenomena studied in this project which are essential for accessing the dynamics between internalization and externalization of thought—and perception processes are fireworks, drones, and magical performances, as well as the capturing of these moments through photography. All manifested for a short period of time in a compromise of our imagination into the so-called reality. Thus, externalization of imagination becomes a continuity resulting from the compromise between the individual and its immediate environmental context. This cultivates our experience of preserving, sharing, and replicating in the future-oriented present time.
