Article 6 is construed as an essential junction between the protection of the individual’s fundamental rights and the functional requirements of the European Health Data Space. The commentary underscores the right to rectification not merely as an instrument of individual safeguard, but also as a means of preserving the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of electronic health data, a legal asset of central importance to the safety of care and to the digital governance of healthcare. Of particular significance is the interpretation of the mechanism of joint verification between the data controller and the competent healthcare professional, understood as a point of equilibrium between informational self-determination and the need to preserve the clinical truthfulness of the information. Ultimately, Article 6 emerges as a safeguard within a broader process of the patient’s digital empowerment.

Abstract
Ultimately, Article 6 emerges as a safeguard within a broader process of the patient’s digital empowerment.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
