Some necessary and sufficient conditions for Sobolev type spaces to be continuously embedded into (generalized) Morrey and Campanato spaces on Euclidean domains will be discussed. The Sobolev spaces in question are built upon general rearrangement-invariant norms. The optimal target and domain spaces in the relevant embeddings will be identified, and concrete examples will be proposed as well. The talk is based on joint research with A. Cianchi, L. Pick and L.Slavíková, and with L. Drážný.
