Dynamic Security Perimeters for Grid-enabled Collaboration

In this paper we summarise an emerging solution that enables the federated management and distributed enforcement of dynamic security perimeters for virtual communities of services and resources that span across administrative and enterprise boundaries. We highlight how this architecture, and its realisation in a European research project [9][20] exploring a Grid infrastructure for application serviced provision, addresses outstanding challenges that underpin automation of trust and security management in scalable, multi-institutional, dynamic Virtual Organisations.
