In the context of wave propagation through damaged (elastic) solids, an analytical method previously introduced for scalar problems, is now applied to study the (vector) problem for oblique penetration of both longitudinal and transverse plane waves into a periodic array of (collinear) cracks. Reduced the problem to integral equations holding over the openings, a mild approximation valid in the given (one-mode) range of frequency leads to analytical solutions and thus to full-explicit representations for the scattering parameters. Some graphs will finally compare our results with the numerical ones obtained by other authors.

Abstract
In the context of wave propagation through damaged (elastic) solids, an analytical method previously introduced for scalar problems, is now applied to study the (vector) problem for oblique penetration of both longitudinal and transverse plane waves into a periodic array of (collinear) cracks. Reduced the problem to integral equations holding over the openings, a mild approximation valid in the given (one-mode) range of frequency leads to analytical solutions and thus to full-explicit representations for the scattering parameters. Some graphs will finally compare our results with the numerical ones obtained by other authors.File in questo prodotto:
