Abstract

When most of theological protestants, after 1933, came together in “Deutschen Christen” or “is maneuvered between the compromises” (K. Lowith), only Bultmann and Barth were on the behalf of Bekennende Kirche, concentrated on Lord’s kingdom and on the “mondo nuovo” of the Bible. On the occasion of the publication in 1945 of two writings by Barth about Schuldfrage with reference to German people involved in Nazism, lots of letters were sent to the theologian who would choose to publish two of them with the answers and a brief preface: ” to give courage to the wise Germans is the commitment of today".
